What is a Meet & Paint?
The Helvetian Brushes Meet & Paint is an open, community-driven miniature painting evening.
It is designed as a relaxed space where people can discover, learn, and enjoy miniature painting without any pressure or commitment. There is no fixed program, no mandatory start time, and no expectation of prior knowledge.
You can arrive whenever it suits you, paint for a while, ask questions, observe others, or simply enjoy the atmosphere.
No experience required
You do not need to have painted miniatures before to take part in a Meet & Paint.
Many people join simply because they are curious about the hobby and want to understand what miniature painting is, how it works, and whether it might be something they enjoy. Watching others paint, trying a brush for the first time, or asking basic questions is completely fine.
There is no expectation to finish a model or achieve a specific result.
Not a workshop, not a class
A Meet & Paint is fundamentally different from a workshop.
There is no structured lesson, no predefined techniques, and no fixed learning objectives. Instead, it is a shared space where each participant approaches the hobby in their own way.
Help and guidance are available throughout the evening, but always on an informal and individual basis.
Simple And Flexible
The Meet & Paint format is intentionally flexible.
Participants can join at any time during the evening and stay for as little or as long as they like. Some people come for a short break after work, others stay for several hours and paint continuously.
This flexibility makes it easy to fit the event into everyday life without any obligation.
